Kids get high rankings many times because of who they commit to.
Look at the talent on the field in action. The Mississippi schools have obviously been undervalued.

Ask yourself this question. How good we would be if the people who left early the last two years would have stayed? Now ask the same of TAM and Miss St. And ole miss.

I think had we had the weapons available for our current qb he would look much better. Certainly two wide recievers that are currently getting very good playing time on Sundays could have this team in another direction. No offense to our current offensive receivers but they are almost all freshman.... Can't expect them all to be ready to play in this atmosphere right out of high school. Let's be real.

A lot of Ms HS players have learned how to qualify. You wouldn't believe how many super talented athletes in this state don't qualify. Go look at Ms JUCO football and you will see SEC for dummies. I have watched tons of great athletes never make it ouf of HS in this state bc they didn't apply themselves just a little in the classroom. My son's HS team just had a kid quit his senior year bc he had to be "real" and take care of things on the streets. He was a great LB and would have made a good safety in college. Now he is on the corner smoking dope with his boys.

Because their players do not leave for the NFL if they even get a hint that they possibly might maybe be a long shot for the scout squad on one NFL team.

They are the 2 teams with 5 year QBs they haven't lost guys to early draft so it's their upperclassman versus our underclassman.

For 1, The Bleacher Report said it best ,that LSU under Miles Tenure, that the recruitment and the development at the QB position has been Abysmal.But we have not developed players well at any position, see Freak and Ego starting in the NFL at the highest level and yet they were average at LSU under our coaches just a year ago. We are also the most predictable team out there, so when talent is even we are at a big disadvantage.
