Ole Miss has outscored their opponents by a score of 55-3 in the first quarter this year, it will be key for LSU to get off to a good start. My question is how should we attack the Ole Miss defense, do we come out running it and try to control the clock, or do we see the mad hatter at his finest with some crazy trick plays to get some momentum early?

3 and out on the first few drives. 99.9% guaranteed. Bet the house on it.

Simply need to avoid the 3 & outs early.

Somehow, someway.

I liked how we started vs. UK.

If OM jumps up 14-0 ... game over.

Would bet against him?

Serious question.

Fans have passion. That passion spills into negativity when the product on the field isn't something you can get excited about it or you know could be better. I question the "fan" who isn't negative at all. Fans get mad and negative because they care ....too much sometimes.

Bama ran for 168 against Ole Miss.

Bama passed for 228.

Bama held Ole Miss to 76 yards rushing.

Bama gave up 251 passing to Ole Miss.

Bama had 2 turnovers, Ole Miss 1.

We win by running the ball effectively, making timely 3rd down plays on offense and defense, win the turnover battle and play solid special teams.

That's Les Miles way.

Why because he isnt saying "Yea well go deep to Dural early and often"? He's probably right, doenst mean he isnt a fan. The only chance we have is Bo Wallace having a Bo Wallace game. Our offense will likely not give us a chance.

Im not sure of that against Ole Miss' front.

We did it against Florida, so it isnt impossible, but its pretty unlikely.

I understand that, but it seems like we have a large portion of the fanbase that only sees the sky falling. One would think this team is 2-6 and not improving when in reality they are 6-2 and improving.

They are improving defensively, which is great, but if you're going to tell me the offense is at a point where it's capable of beating one of the better defenses in the country im not buying it. The run game is starting to work, but you cant just run over Ole Miss all day. 7/15 for 120 aint gonna cut it.

If we can run the ball and make first downs, we will be in great shape...if we run the ball like we did against moo state, gonna be a long night...
Maybe the "Secret Playbook" will be found this week and we can pull a couple of wabbits out of our asses, too...
Some steady short passing game would also help!!!
Not impossible to pull off a Win this week...Defense is playing a lot better since Beckwith in the middle...om's offense not that strong...

The key to staying in this game will be the defense showing up. Plain and simple.

thats because we have seen QB play like this before for 2-3 years and its absolutely unbearable to watch again...Jennings will not be a good qb. no matter how much he practices, he has deficiencies . Now Harris will be...The most frustrating part is when you have basically every other position filled with talent but the most important position on the field is down right dreadful...The weaknesses will show the next couple games...

Im praying that im wrong just for the record.

Right now OM has the best D in the nation statistics wise. LSU will need to pass well in this one and needs "bad" Bo if they cannot pass well.

No shite! Maybe OM will run a disorganized kickoff to start the game that allows a long return and commit a facemask penalty to boot. Then, they can give up a special teams TD.

UK's special teams put them in a hole quickly that they could never dig out of. Certainly would be nice to see LSU's defense and/or ST make huge play in the opening minutes of the game.
