I was at a convenient store with my young adult kids and my 15 year old son. An older than me guy walks up to the vehicle as we are leaving, my son was driving and I was in the back seat so I rolled down the window. The man pleads, "Can you help a guy out? I just need a dollar for a beer." There are no other cars there, so I assume he isn't driving, I tell him "Hell NO I ain't giving you a dollar!" and give him 5 bucks for being honest.. Right? Or not so much?

The ol' honesty trick, for some reason it works with people. Never understood why.

Why do you feel compelled to give a bum money for being honest?

Prolly, I've seen people with the "bait" money, broken fan belt, or need 12 bucks more for a car part..always asked them what kind of car and then it went to aww shite..this guy was an alcoholic. I just didn't wanna be damned, if he doesn't drink he dies, if he does he walks into oncoming traffic....I guess I should've drank a few with him..

I was in Las Vegas just over a week ago and saw a homeless guy holding a sign that displayed, "Field Goal My Nuts for $20.00."

I missed wide right.

I don't give bums money. I'd rather end up not help out someone who really needs it than give money to an addict.
