Re watching some of the game, keeping seeing recievers open in middle of the field. I don't see many passes to the middle or quick slants this year. I guess that's no longer in game plan.

Jennings is hesitant to throw to the middle of the field. I too noticed quite a few open WRs/TEs down the middle.

He missed a few guys due to his tunnel vision.

There are times on offense that I actually forget that Quinn and Diarse are even out there (Dupre sometimes as well). Malachi missed a nice pass, but he seems to be wasted when Jennings is in there. I'm really surprised we don't try to get Diarse the ball on bubble screens or something really short due to his physical nature on the few passes he has had thrown his way. He can make a short pass into something big. I would almost roll Jennings out any time we want to throw because he is a much better passer rolling out.

Too me that has to change in next 2 games , got to open up middle to keep linebackers from coming up to line if scrimmage helping on the run .

We have a 1-read QB. Completions between the hashes are going to be rare, like the one to Dickson in the first half.

In this last play , pass to Dupree double covered in corner, durall wide open crossing in the middle . His man left him to double in the end zone .

tunnel vision.

There it is. Once ball is snapped target lock is ON and he doesn't even turn his head.

1) We're calling passes to the sidelines to avoid interceptions.

2) When guys are open over the middle, Jennings is hesitant to throw the ball. See point #1.

I guess he doesn't want to be another Jamie Howard, especially if we have the lead.

Hard to argue. But at some point we're going to need him to make some quicker decisions. I can live with not throwing the ball into tight spots over the middle. But standing around waiting for the deep pass to materialize has cost us some sacks. I counted at least two last night.

It is frustrating, frankly. AJ is not a quick decision-maker.

it's the most safe/non risk offense in the entire country

they've ingrained it into him just like they did with jefferson of NO INTERCEPTIONS

you take a sack if your 1st read isn't there or throw it away. tucking and running is also an option.

I saw the same thing on both QBs. Neither of them wants to throw into the middle. It seems the pick 6 ghost of 2008 is still haunting someone.

I think that's okay against teams like Florida and Kentucky, but they are a must have against good teams.
