Last week I posted asking if any respect would be gained from this win, and there were a lot of varied responses. Seemed like most thought it would be a nail biter, but we got the Thump I was hoping for.

Not much coverage was given by the analysts on the win (not that it matters), but next week sets up us a force if the team keeps improving and we can pull out a win.

I am enjoying watching the fire in this team. Defense is swarming and players are playing for each other now. Backs are running with determination, no matter who gets the call. QB play of course still looks like a problem (as has been discussed too much already). Later in the game Jennings finally looked a little more decisive, but his slow throws and indecision early had a lot of people around me frustrated. Offensive line is stepping up, but those penalties will cost us in a close one.

Early season struggles hurt bad, but Ole Miss better watch out. The landmass schools are both already being projected in the playoffs, even though one of them will have at least one loss, and are getting into uncharted dangerous territory where the bighead looms. Tigers need to keep fighting and playing together and the Rebels dreams may just die.

If we don't see a packed house when Ole Miss comes to town I don't know if we ever will - last night's attendance looked smaller than SHS to me.

Here's to a dominating performance last night, and a little more respect if we bring it next Saturday.

FYI none of Ole Miss' dreams die with a loss to LSU. Sure, a perfect season, but thats not really the main dream/goal.

LSU will get respect if they stay competitive in the game and dont go all A&M when they get punched in the mouth.

Exactly why does LSU deserve respect at this point of the season?

They're not going 2-0 against Auburn and MSU

I didn't know the outcomes of the games were out already? My bad.

Both are at home for Ole Miss, on what basis would you say they wouldn't win both? ole Miss has the #1 overall defense in the country.

i'll tell you why I respect them.....

over the last two years they lost the heart of their team, experience wise and leadership wise. they got the crap beat out of them 2 consecutive weeks but kept plugging and have improved. they could have folded their tents like the aggies.

I respect effort, determination and being able to handle adversity without whining, pissing and moaning. I KNOW that living through that kind of experience with that kind of attitude promotes growth and will make them a much better football team in the future. and better individuals too.

imo, this team has strength of character, a trait I ADMIRE VERY MUCH. frankly, you should to. they should be an inspiration to you and i'm sorry for you if you can't see that. perhaps you just haven't had much in the way of life's experiences yet. if you can handle the shite they've handled, i'll respect you too. right now, not so much.

Hell, even I'll have to shut down the Miles bashing for a week or two if we pull it off next week.

Just thought I'd give this a bump. Bitches better pay attention to LSU. These guys are for real.
