I'm out of binges and became desperate. This board speaks highly of The Black List and I gave it a try and watched 5 eps waiting on it to not be crappy, formulaic, typical big network garbage.

Spader is awesome.

Show sucks.

I really liked it. Binged it a month ago.

You haven't gotten to the best episode.

It does get a little old towards the end of the season.

Without Spader it would be terrible.

The first season finale wasn't very good and it didn't make any sense.

Spoilers.

Don't know if a spoiler.

Obvious Red is her dad.

I owe this board a lot of goodness, but despite the greatness of Spader, it is terrible.

Actually, we don't know why Red is interested in Lizzie.

If you don't like the show through 5 episodes then no reason to keep going even though the best is yet to come.

I think it's a good show. Watch it weekly. He never lies to her and I'm pretty positive she straight up asked him and he said no.

Its clear red is her dad and they all but said so in the last scene where you see the burn marks all over reds back

Because the man he was then is dead.

The Red storyline and the husband storyline are good. The chasing a new world's worst criminal every week thing got old quick, though. It's just filler that no one really cares about.

The scars only mean he was at the fire. Not that he is her father. Not saying it won't be true, but it is also possible that Red started the fire killing her family and something inside him snapped and made him save her.

Not as cut and dry as you make it sound.

Heck, the writers might not even know yet.

I haven't watched season 2. How has season 2 been so far. I wasn't optimistic from the commercials and the way season 1 ended with the nonsense Berlin story.

I have never been a fan of Spader. He plays the same smug a-hole in every role. That said, I did give it a chance. I watched the first 5 episodes and ended up checking out of it on my DVR schedule because it was so bad. Should have followed my initial instincts.

Bro, I had these same feeling but stuck it out a little longer. The two parter beginning with episode 9 made it turn the corner in my mind. If episode 9 doesn't peek your interest it probably isn't for you.
