loved both the book and the 1954 movie...still a favorite childhood memory of mine...especially the ride at Disneyland in California

Was really sad to see they removed the ride from Disney World. I bet it had something to do with the expanding waist size of America cause it was a tight fit getting in.

This is a secret of mine. It was my favorite movie when I was little by far. I loved it so much i told everyone my name was captain nemo when I was 3 or 4. At my play group, only one girl knew my real name, everyone else called me captain nemo.

Cleaning was a difficulty I understand. People would puke and the staff had to go into the confined space to clean it.

Outside was even worse. Chemicals were brutal on the machines.

Technically, the 20,000 Leagues ride was only at Walt Disney World in Florida. Disneyland has always had Submarine Voyage which is very similar but was never themed to the movie (I believe it's themed to Finding Nemo now).
