If you are in town for the game, check out the basketball team tonight at the PMAC. They will have some activities starting at 6:45 PM with the main event at 7:30 PM.

Will parking be available since there is a home game and tailgaters on campus?

I won't be able to make it, but last year, this event was really fun. The slam dunk contest should be really fun and it'll be cool to see some of the shooters we have go at it.
LOVE that they are adding some scrimmage to this event this year. Should be really fun.

So what went on tonight?
The lack of an update on this again accentuates where basketball is in the pecking order around here, sadly...

Hornsby won the 3 point contest. He also has quite the ugly shooting form, but hey, it goes in.
Mickey won the dunk contest over Hornsby. He jumped from a step inside the FT line for the final dunk.
Hard to take anything from the 'scrimmage'. Defense was pretty much nonexistent -- CJJ said he didn't want to risk injury. Pretty much a bunch of goofing off with layups, dunks, and 3s. Elbert didn't play.
Epps impressed me the most tonight, outside of Mickey and Martin. Long, athletic, and shot it really well from the perimeter tonight (was in the 3 point contest).
Pretty cool event, but some things could be executed much better from the event management standpoint. Just very unorganized and need to generate more fan excitement during the event. I'm sure it'll only get better as it grows from year to year.
