Doesn't have great reviews but I'm checking this movie out tonight anyway. Is probably cheesy and cookie cutter but I'm a RDJ fan so I'm sure I'll enjoy it to some degree. Wanted to see Fury but the lady nixed that one.

Anyone seen it yet?

I can't imagine a movie with Robert Duval and Robert Downy Jr being bad.

ive been wanting to see it myself, so make sure you let us know how it was.

I am a tremendous Robert Duval fan, and will almost always see a movie with him in it. RDJ is just added awesomeness to the cash.

Watched it with my dad yesterday. I thought it was a pretty good movie.

Stretches a little bit because of a romantic interest I thought was overplayed, but there was enough little twists to keep it from being a normal "family reconciliation" movie.

I don't think you'll be disappointed if you like RDJ.

SPOILER

I did think it was a little ridiculous when out of nowhere he puts on the Iron Man suit and blasts Billy Bob Thornton.

Has anyone else noticed that they seemingly have no clue how to market this movie?

There are commercials that make it look like a drama, then a good ol boys flick, then another that looks like a comedy, and another that looks like a tear jerker.

WTF is this shite?

I was coming in this thread to make that exact comment. The earlier commercials seemed all high drama and then the last few weeks they add some music to it and make it look like a comedy.

Very strange

Probably why the reviews were lukewarm. The movie may be a bit confused.

Probably because the movie tried to be all of those genres wrapped in one. Didn't work out too well imo. The movie was pretty slow at times and I felt like it just dragged to the end

Just got back from movie. I enjoyed it but I can see why the reviews weren't great. It was predictable and cliche and all that but I didn't really mind. Robert Downey Jr. plays an awesome lawyer and that's why I enjoyed this movie. It did drag towards the end, I agree. Overall I'd say it's entertaining but not going to get any nominations come awards season.

I saw it earlier tonight and enjoyed it. It's one of the better movies I've seen this year.

Also, pleasantly surprised with Willie Nelson's cover of a Coldplay song in the credits.

I saw it last night and it was HORRIBLE! It was so boring and there was no point to the movie. I thought it would at least be ok with those actors but I was wrong, it will be out of the theaters in a week or two.

It was pretty meh for me too.

It dragged on, and was predictable.

Thats an understatement! It was just horrible and like someone else said the movie didn't really know what it was. Was it a drama, a comedy, a love story.....I have no idea. It was like they found a few great actors and made a movie just to make one.
