They are solid speakers. It's amazon, so you can return if you don't like them

From a power standpoint, it's fine. Does it have all the features you want? Only glaring issue is lack of room correction on it.

Features like wifi capable or expandable channels. I have the avr-1913 and am able to control everything on my receiver with an app on my phone. Also, if you want to add speakers to another area of your home, like on your patio, you might want to look into a 7.1 receiver with a programmable second channel. If none of that matters to you, then that receiver of yours should work fine.

Buy these for around the same amount of money as those energy speakers then add center, surrounds, and sub when funds become available. You will get better sound out of a stereo setup with those Polk's then you will out of the energy 5.1 setup.
