Who would you rather have: Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan?

With the Atlanta-Baltimore match-up this weekend the Ravens posted an infographic about the two QBs. I thought it was kind of interesting because I think both of them are firmly in the better half of NFL QBs but not in the top 3-5.
Both of course were drafted in the same year.
Ryan's biggest edge is in having 32 more TDs, but that 9:1 playoff-win ratio is an impressive figure for Flacco. Especially considering 8 of those were away from Baltimore. (7 away + Super Bowl)

Team statistic.

Yeah, and in those particular playoffs he was lights out, but is that something you only judge QBs on? By that standard Eli > Peyton. Dilfer > Marino. etc.
Perhaps, but in the playoffs in which they won the SB Flacco had 11 TDs and 0 picks.

He was unreal in that Superbowl run, but ryan is better

yea that's why ryan has a Super Bowl MVP trophy

This is a better argument than just comparing playoff records. I don't like using playoff records or superbowl wins as some trump card for individual performance though. He didn't make it to the game by himself, he didn't win the game by himself, and he probably didn't really earn the MVP in that game by himself. It takes a team to win.
Overall, I think they have been about even with Ryan being more consistent and Flacco having higher peaks in performance.

Flacco, he'd be lights out with a Julio type guy.
Ryan also gets to play 9+ games a year in a dome so pulls better stats

ryan has had much better weapons around him and hasn't been able to do anything.
flacco in his Super Bowl year had rice, boldin, 2nd year player Torrey smith, Jacoby jones, and fricking tandon doss

Ryan. This should not be a serious thread.
I am sure it will turn into a divisional flame fast as usual.

Ryan has never had a running game. And don't you dare bring up that fatass Michael Turner.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'm leaning towards Flacco. I think the downside for Flacco is that he kind of a gunslinger. He has stretches where he looks downright foolish.

turner had 1700 yards in Ryan's first year. 1300 when they went 13-3 and failed in the playoffs. lol
