There's no real money in it, yet. Most people don't "do it" because it's cost prohibitive and the returns don't justify the expenditure. And no they can't make real money out of windmills, yet.

I'm sure Brand doesn't get paid in," Stupid Money", nor does he use petroleum products, ride in cars, fly in jets and own multiple homes?!

Don't really see why you'd have to forego all of that in order to advocate for alternative energy sources. Also, I don't think Brand makes "Stupid Money"....his a C to D lister.

Same nonsense with ethanol - it's more acidic than gasoline, more damaging to equipment designed to use it, has cost hundreds of millions in redesign for E15, E85 and E100 engines and is produced at a net energy loss, meaning it takes more fossil fuels to produce the corn, than they get in return as fossil fuel "replacement".

I've never viewed the ethanol fiasco as a "green" issue...it's more of a buying votes in the midwest issue.

While you have a point, it's certainly marketed as a green solution. It isn't one. Without government subsidies, ethanol is a loser. You can buy an ethanol plant for a bag of beads in half the states in the Midwest. It's probably not operational.

I'm sure the corn lobby is pushing it/selling it as green, but the voters that care about ethanol are guys that drive John Deere combines...it pushes the price of a bushel north.

He and ScarJo could get together and have a "dumb off" - not sure who would win, but I'd be watching ScarJo.

Once we are able to solve the energy storage problem then renewables will be a real part of our overall portfolio.

We are getting there.

Also our first utility scale offshore wind power project is set to come online within the next two years. They are just about to begin fabrication.

Ethanol is the largest fraud next to Obamacare in the history of the United States.

Never heard of him. My guess is that he is Neville Brand's son.

1, I think people are taking liberties with what he said.

2, he's easily one of the smartest people in hollywood, IMO. He's super hyper and I don't particularly like his movie characters, but the one time I saw him on Conan/Letterman/whoever I came away extremely impressed. He might have been on coke for all I know, but he was amazing for an unscripted interview.
