So many primary care physcians going to Lake Primary care

My last two primaries have switched over to Lake Primary. I've pulled my family away from them because once they go Lake Primary you lose all of the personalized care you're accustomed to getting from the staff and the doctor.
Anyone else here that won't give LPHC their business?

Expect more of the same. Docs with their own independent practices make more money than those than in the groups like this, but they assume more risk.
With even more changes ahead. physicians will accept less money for less risk and stress. It doesn't make the good doctors any less good.
If your physician operated one way as an independent physician and another once they join a group (OLOL, ochsner, etc), then trust me when I say they weren't that good to begin with. They either practice with our best interests and outcomes in mind or they don't.

Docs no longer want to own their clinic. They would much rather be an employee of the hospital system. Much less risk involved that way.

My primary care Dr just told everyone that he is switching yesterday. I wouldn't take my dog out to the lake. So I guess I'm in the market for a new primary care doc. I just want one convenient to Watson. That's why I liked the ocshners on 16.

My Doc is with them (Family Practice Associates) and he's pretty great. Never wait, sees me on short notice, answers questions online and always available via phone.

They do. Just called. I have to have some blood work and they draw in house on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also see children over the age of 7 so that's a huge plus since i have 2 kids that go to school right there. 225-791-2400

I think Dr. Ferrara went to the MDVIP plan thing a few years ago--where you pay an annual membership fee for the luxury of more time with him and him being on-call for you all the time. Our previous doc went that way, then shortly after my husband found Dr. Ferrara at Lake Primary Care, he left too.

He was the best Doctor I ever had them OLOL started shipping over ignorant arse minority bitches to work his counter and they all had attitudes and didn't give a shite about any of his clients. Wait times went to about 45 minutes when it used to be around 10.
Billing was always fricked up.
I just couldn't stand it anymore.
I am seeing this with my present Physician as well. OLOL Shipping in shitty bitches to work the front counter,answer phones TEC.
I'm just not going to put up with that shite.
