Just a head's up, Igloo's annual blowout sale is this Thursday through Saturday from 8-5 each day. Last year they had good deals on their big Yukons.

We used to slaughter the ducks all around the igloo plant out in Katy back in the day. You would probably get arrested if you tried to do that today.

Thanks for the heads up, might go grab a few for transporting deer quarters.

I wish it wasn't so damn far out there. 35 miles from my office and the hours won't allow me to get out there anytime.

What is the hunting like in general around Houston? Have heard it can be pretty good east of town in the ag fields. I'm in BR and it takes 1.5-2hrs to get anywhere. Is Houston similar? Thinking about a possible move down the road.

Pretty much. You have flooded rice fields both east around Anahuac/Winnie and west around Brookshire/Sealy or SW around El Campo. We also aren't too far from the coast so thats an option as well. We don't duck hunt near as much as we used to so some other Houston people on here can probably give you a better idea.
