Why would TX's (Dallas) trash be coming to LA. I would think a major city in a state like Texas would have its own landfill?

I figured this would've been buried near walker, contributing to that horrid smell on I-12 in the mornings.

Trash gets transported all over the place

The landfill in Carlyss specializes in hazardous wastes

I don't see what the big fuss is over some incinerated ashes

Meh...where that facility is in Carlyss off of the interstate there are plenty of areas near by that could stand to be cleansed by ebola.

Caldwell was setting back the image of Louisiana 40 years with his interview on WWL.

I guess the big fuss is partially due to the fact that ebola has no cure and that there are no standards for incineration?

The FB comments for the article kind of made me want to burn the state to the ground to cleanse the stupidity.

I think the concern would be that "All" of tainted everything was actually incinerated.

I'm sure the 1500 degrees it went through to get airborne probably sterilized it

Yes. No way that facility would take anything that wasn't properly burned.

Waste Management may be greedy and getting paid a lot to take that shite but they aren't stupid to open themselves up to that liability. The restrictions for operating a dump now days are nuts and the insurance isn't cheap. I would imagine it all quadruples for a facility that handles hazardous material like that one.

This move was just some grandstanding and a chance to get his name in the papers for the AG.
