I just saw the preview yesterday and thought it looked pretty funny. I am not much of a comedy fan, but I think I will try it out.

I thought the previews were a little underwhelming. Hoping they are just leaving everything out of them.

I will watch though for sure.

It will be better than that crappy prequel. The one where they were in high school

This sequel SHOULD be even more funny than the original.

Why? Because they know that the original is kind of a "cult" favorite with movie quotes becoming internet memes and the like. They have had years to prepare to get quality writers to write quality jokes.

That's why I say it should be better than the original.

Bob Saget screaming the word shite was the best part of that movie.

i dont put the dumb and dumber original movie on quite as high q pedistal as most do, although i do really like it

with that said, the previews were absolutley an abomination and if the movie werent a sequel to D&D, most people on this board would be trashing the hell out of it.

of course a lot of people said that about Anchorman 2 and i enjoyed that one a lot, so the movie could still be good, im speaking strictly on the previews

My expectations are fairly low. But, I'm tempted to see it in theatres.

People saying the previews suck baffle me. It is the exact same humor as the first movie. If you liked the original then I don't see how you won't like this one. I can't wait.

It's a comedy known for stupid humor. Why would you want the humor to change? As long as the plot carries on and they don't reuse the same jokes, that is exactly what you want from a comedy sequel.

This is the only thing that worries me. The Farrelly Brothers haven't really had a good hit in a while. Hall Pass was decent, but I haven't really liked anything else they've made since Me, Myself, and Irene.

It is nice to know that Jim Carrey wasn't going to do it until he was happy with the script, so that's reassuring.

Regardless, I will be there on opening night.

meh its been a mixture of re-hashing the same jokes and then making them over the top fricking retarded.

Based on the trailer, it is the same jokes rehashed and overdone.

It is one thing to maintain the same type of humor and use new jokes, but to just drive the jokes that made the original into the ground is pretty disappointing.

From the previews I think it looks absolutely retarded and I LOVE the original. I don't know what it was, but the acting of JC and JD comes across as forced and way over the top. I mean I smirked, but nothing made me really laugh out loud which is what I expected before seeing it.
