Jennings Clutch Factor

One great thing about Jennings is that he appears to have the clutch factor. He has now led LSU to 3 4th quarter comebacks. In those games when we are down, Jennings drives look like:
Arkansas -
First drive we were down 27-21, Jennings takes over and leads LSU to a field goal. On the drive Jennings has 1 rush for 3 yards.
Then, down 27-24 on our own 1, Jennings has 2 rushes for 23 yards and completes 4 of 6 passes for 76 yards and a game winning TD.
Wisconsin -
Down 24-13 in the fourth quarter, LSU has the ball on the 49 to start the quarter. On the drive Jennings picks up 4 yards on a rush, and then loses 4 yards on a sack. He completes 2 of 3 passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also completes the 2 pt conversion.
Later down 24-21, Jennings hands off to Hilliard three times for 53 yards and a go ahead touchdown.
Florida -
Down 24-20 with about 6 minutes left in the fourth, LSU starts on their 25. On the go ahead drive, Jennings completes 3 of 4 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. He had a 1 yard rush, but was also sacked for 10 yards. This put up LSU 27-24.
We all know there was only one handoff at the end before the game winning field goal.
On these 4th quarter comeback and game winning drives, Jennings stats are:
17 rushing yards
9-13 for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns. I wonder what that QB Rating would be. Probably pretty high

Jennings has the want to develop into a quality quarterback.

What about the "drive" when it was 27-27? It is a little selective to leave that out, since it occurred after what you have deemed the "clutch" drive.

Well, the premise of the thread was about 4th quarter drives while being down in the game. On the drive you speak of though, we had:
1st down - Handoff to Magee for 5 yards
2nd down - Incomplete Pass
3rd down - Sack

I like this post! But positive Jennings threads aren't allowed on here, the rantards will ruin it.

I quit reading here. This alone dismisses your whole case.

the man gives you proof yet you resort to name calling and an emotional statement revealing your bias. then you basically tell him his proof is not welcome and he should leave.
how mature is that?

Yep, they are just going to bitch about how he is Jefferson 2.0 and not give him any slack. I seriously don't understand how you miserable fricks can so relentlessly and unfairly criticize him, especially this early in his career.

Can I get the number to your street pharmacist because,I had a long day at work.

Impressive!
Now if only he could do that against quality competition

13-1 is not 14-0
It is all Miles and Jefferson's fault. No forgiveness in this crowd.

Exactly, It was his first ever true road game start. If Harris had played and put up the same exact numbers this place would be white from all the fapping.

Based on the fact that he has led LSU to 3 4th quarter comebacks in his short career at LSU while going 9-13 for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns in those drives.

What about how Harris nearly leading us back against State when Jennings put us in a big hole? Does Harris have the clutch factor?
What about the fact that Jennings ineffectiveness early was the reason we were down against Wisconsin?
Both of our QBs have potential. Both have really good moments in games. Both look really bad at times and are both very, very unpolished. That's just the truth of the situation. None of this "clutch factor" shenanigans.

3rd down - Sack
It wasn't just any 'ole sack ... it was a sack with a lot of lost yardage.
The OP has its merits. Jennings has had some bright spots. Heck ... that fade pass the other night was a thing of beauty (so was the catch).
But, the bottom line is that he and our passing game have got to improve.

He looked like crap against NEW MEXICO ST...Think about it.... HE didn't beat FLA He had ONE lucky pass.......He was HORRIBLE against MSU... I could care less about the so called comebacks...
