I'm interested in getting into bow hunting.
I live in Houston and I don't know anybody to go to for advice.
What is the best way to get a peek into this sport?

I would say the best way to see if you even like shooting a bow is renting one, practicing, and shooting in some 3D tournaments.

If you are close to the west side of town, swing by WestHouston Archery. They are located at I-10 and the beltway. They have recently expanded and have some nice folks that will be more than happy to let you shoot and try just about anything in there shop.
