Room Temp. Never understood the logic of adding a cold condiment to an item served hot.

The logic is that food items kept refrigerated stay fresher and last longer. That's why condiment makers advise you to keep them refrigerated.

Do you really care about freshness when it comes to ketchup? I have never heard someone say "Wow that ketchup taste super fresh!!!" Most people just want the salty and slightly sweet flavors it adds to the food. And with all the vinegar and preservatives in all the major brands anyway, I am pretty sure the stuff will last for several years fridge or no fridge.

Room temp. Cold ketchup on hot food? Not logical.

I prefer room temp, but I'm not getting all worked up over ketchup.
