99% of the best TV shows ever are from the past.
Some would say Mad Men, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones might fit the bill, but they're a drop in the water when you look at all of the great series.
For me... Sopranos or Rockford for drama.
Seinfeld or Barney Miller for comedy.
