NYT on GOP strategy

Yesterday's print edition. Long feature on GOP tactic for mid-terms. It's all about how Republicans are painting a bleak picture: Bad economy, ISIS, Ebola, collapse of southern border, etc. And they are trying to link all this badness to Obama and the Dems being incompetent.
So, does they NYT consider "Well, maybe the republicans are right"? Nooooo. Their conclusion is the Republicans are mean. They are making stuff up just to scare voters. Very mean and underhanded.
Now the Dems would never try to scare voters. Nooo.

So reality is something the Times wants to distance itself from, too. They helped create this reality, they need to own it...

What is the GOP "plan"?
There is none being stated.
Their campaign is "We ain't Obama."
Identical to the Dems in '06, "We ain't Bush."
The problem is no mandate emerges.

True. But even without a mandate a GOP takeover of the Senate means we won't get another Wise Latina on the USSC.

You do realize the New York Times is a liberal newspaper. If you want the other point of view you can read the New York Post or the Wall Street Journal.

No, I hear you Zach. I do.
Again, I'm far more interested in what we do get though, rather than what we don't.

what we will get is screwed. count on that.
Then again maybe I'm just cynical.

Quit pulling Zach's leg. The NYT is straight down the middle.

HA!
The last headline the NYT prints will be something like this.....
WORLD TO END!
Poor, minorities hardest hit!

She's relatively good for a D appointee. Of course, that's like being the best team in the Sun Belt, but she's still better than Ginsburg/Breyer/Kagan.

Empty headed is a false moniker. In todays world where attack ads work better than proponent ads anyone would be a fool to run ads stating the obvious, when we have a president and a party who look like the real JV team.
It goes without saying that Republicans are for lower taxes, less government, less red tape, for border control, has the cred in fighting terrorism over dems, no Republicans voted for the disaster of a Healthcare Bill etc etc.
Really no use spending money stating the obvious, that would be money badly spent, and a naive crime.

Sad. I guess ISIS and Ebola don't really exist and the American people are too stupid to see how great the economy really is.

Another good point. Fearmongering is all they have. Teh ebil R's will put women in burkas and dump old people out of their wheelchairs. Even though they never did it before.
