EBR closing Highland Road b/t State and Chimes Street Monday and Tuesday

LSU Police has been notified of an upcoming road closure. City/Parish DPW will be closing Highland Road between Chimes Street and State Street to southbound traffic. This will begin the morning of Monday, Oct. 13, and is expected to last through the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 14. Traffic will be allowed northbound, but southbound traffic will be diverted at State Street. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, expect possible delays and use alternate routes if possible.
They can't do this over the weekend?
