ER staffing companies, how well do they do?

Not the MD's themselves, but the companies that are hired by hospitals to hire MD's to staff the hospital's ER. How are they doing as far as businesses go. I know with the MD shortage they're having to pay the MD's more and more. Is their business model still financially sound?

I know a guy who started a staffing company while in residency. He eventually sold to a larger nationwide staffing company for over a million. This was back in the 90s though.

Well Schumacher Group makes about half a billon dollars a year so they seem to be doing pretty well
