Other than online trailer releases? I thought it was supposed to hit the big screen around Thanksgiving/early December I'm just kind of surprised I haven't seen anything this close to the holiday season.

I see it all the time. Stop watching the Oxygen network and Bravo.

I don't watch much tv. I've yet to see a preview at the movie theatre.

No thanks, I'll pass.

But I'll be seeing D&DT in theaters though most likely. I think it looks pretty good (don't go in expecting the original and you should be fine).

I loved the original, but this one looks awful.

The critics are usually hard on this type of movie regardless of whether it is funny or not.

From what I've seen on the previews it looks like they are going to try to copy the original too much. Seems like they are reusing a lot of the same gags. At this point I'm not sure it's possible for a satisfying sequel to be made.

Just watched it.

You have got to be kidding me. I couldnt even finish watching the trailer. There is no way I'm watching this. Eugene Levy, while funny in a lot of things, attaches himself to a lot of shite show sequels, etc. and Cheri Oteri? Any time I see SNL has-beens, I know I'm going to see some crap.

You really watched that and you think it will be good?

I've seen the trailer and I think it will be funny. Not hilarious. Not the funniest movie of all time (like I rank the original). But I think it will be good for some stupid laughs and it'll be funny to see some of the same characters 20 years later.

IMO a lot of people will expect WAAAAAAY too much out of this movie, and will basically go into it expecting to hate it, and likely will. I'll go into it with an open mind expecting what I mentioned above and I'm sure it will be fine enough. I have to assume it will at least be worth seeing since Carrey always said he wouldn't make the movie unless he liked the script.

And FWIW, some stuff I've seen in the trailers looks pretty funny (like the old lady pussy thing, for example).

To me, it looks like one of those straight to video American Pie sequels, full of washed up actors and stupid gags. You'll have to let us know.

I can't get past how old they both look. I know we all age, but damn, they should have let this movie die.

Go watch the trailer for the first one. Half the gags in it didn't make the final cut and the movie looked horrible.

I'll save you the time:

A humorless sophomoric attempt at a sequel. Carey and Daniels reprise their roles from the original movie with much of the same jokes. This movie must be aimed at children as it had many fart jokes and bathroom humor. Unless you're an immature child stay away from this movie. It is not a serious drama that moves the core of your soul. It is not a groundbreaking wall shattering nubile documentary. It is a terrible immature mindless humorless money grab based off a movie that never deserved a sequel anyway.

Jim Carey has made one sequel in his career and it is one of his funniest movies.

He walked off this project in the past because the movie was bad or because no one was trying to make it a good movie.

This time around it's the same actors and writers and directors. It's going to be hilarious.
