Hopefully the BR thugs don't come over and ruin the wholesome family fun we enjoy over here in LP.

I went once. It was indescribable. Typical of what we called a "street fair" when I was a kid, but 90% of the attendees looked like they were straight off those Walmart shopper photos.....Ladies wearing spandex shorts with tank tops and obviously had not shaved their pits in a couple of weeks. Pretty much every guy there under the age of 55 had a flatbill, wifebeater, "shorts" that reached mid-calf and at least 5 visible tatoos of which at least one was the paragraph type describing his life philosophy (I didn't stare long enough, but I'd bet on misspelled words within). The kids....Well, you can imagine what they can only be when produced by the aforementioned. I swear I saw one boy who had to be at least 10 and he had his shoes on the wrong feet.

For any of you who enjoy "people watching", it's pretty hilarious.

Maybe his shoes were on the right feet, but his feet were on the wrong sides.

I can't wait for the Beauty Pageant on Saturday at 6:00

Much better than the LSU/UF game!

I might go for the first time.. My wife made the claim that the Rice Festival was more trash. I need to see the LP fair for comparison. I did write a food review on the F&D board once dining at Ryan's in Denham on a Friday night. (Wife was prego and having a crazy craving) So I do have something to compare to.

WOW! A Spelling Bee at the LP Fair. I laughed when I read that. No way they get up to 3 syllable words in this bee. In fact, I'm thinking that the "(Green Barn)" may actually be the list of the words they will have to be able to spell.

I wish I had some kind of HD spy camera I could hide on my cap and go record that contest.

I challenge you to go to any fair, down South, and NOT see freaks all around.

Not just an LP thing
