So, son in law asks...

If I have a gun he can use. He says he's going to go scout Sabine for some hogs and wants something to carry JIC. I asked what he wanted- pocket gun? .22? What?
He asks if i have a .22 long rifle.
I take him to the guns and said pick something.
His next question- so you got any ammo?
Once again, DLauw lost his shite a little bit.
I mean, wtf, you want me to pay for your gas to get out there too?
So am I just a dick? Would anyone else have reacted the same?

As far as the request, set the lead up. Then expect the gun to come back clean and with ammo to replace what was used. Let er rip if gun comes back dirty or without ammo.

No you have a few reasons to be mad
1. Dude don't own his own gun? How the hell is he protecting your daughter?
2. He chose .22 lr after mentioning protection from hogs. I guess he just wants to tickle them.
3. He asked for your ammo. He wants to take your .22, the currently hardest to find. Didn't even think about getting his own.

Yeah, your response seems a little odd to me. This dude is married to your daughter... He's not some freeloader on the street. He's the current or future father to you grandchildren? I would definitely lend him some ammo instead of making him go to the store and buy some he probably won't use.
