I think the loss of Kromer is a way bigger deal than anyone thinks
Didn't pretty much everyone say that last year?

I know I raised that question last year.

O-line hasn't been the same since Kromer left

Wide Receivers haven't been the same since Curtis Johnson left

Secondary hasn't been the same since Dennis Allen left

All of these position groups have significantly dropped off, and it's not just because of talent...It's Payton & Loomis' job to recognize this and not accept it and make necessary changes.

Oddly enough, Joe Vitt is still around and our linebackers have struggled just as they always have been

I agree with all of this, and have been saying the same as well. Throw in Bill Johnson and McMahon with Vitt.

When you simply try to promote from within to fill vacancies and refuse to let those underperforming coaches go, that is what happens.

We lost some great coaches in Johnson, Kromer and Allen and replaced them with bad coaches that didn't work well at those positions.

Ingalls seems to understand the Tackle position well, but has no idea how to coach the interior line positions and that is what has killed the Saints for two years now.

Our WRs all look worse and it isn't just about age since Johnson left.

DBs all regressed once Allen left, especially guys like Jenkins. Look, he may not be great, but clearly he's being coached better in Philly than he was here the last 2 or 3 years.

I agree with you on this one. Granted I haven't watched an entire Bears game start to finish, but DLP has been abused quite a bit when I did tune in to watch. Same stuff as with us, he gets tossed around like a rag doll.
