I need a download of this. Professional is currently installed on my computer, but with a product key that has to be on the network every 6 months to reactivate. I'm no longer on that network.

I purchased a product key (no install) thinking it was easy to downgrade. Not so fast...looks like I have to uninstall Professional and reinstall the Home and Student 2010 version, only Microsoft's website is already on 2013 trial downloads.

Where can I find this download without worry of viruses/malware?

And no, I don't really care to use google docs. If I can't get the download, I'm willing to sell the unused key for $75.

I'm in the same situation as you are, only I managed to get the 2010 version. The enterprise license renewals changed between 2010 and 2012 and reactivation of the product key requires connection to the LSU network...instead of merely downloading the key from Tigerware. Damn them.

ETA--I did find the place where I need to download 2010. I'm a little worried that uninstalling professional will do some type of damage to my computer and I'll just be screwed royally. I'll wait for answers tomorrow before doing anything silly.

2007 has no such issues

and i've still yet to find any reason to upgrade to 2010 or 2013

I guess I just don't want to have to uninstall it if there's some magical way to get it to work again.
