Wells is the future flash

I just don't see Barry Allen turning into someone that is willing to kill someone as quickly as Wells is.

ETA: We are already seeing their philosophies colliding in this episode.

Another good one. I feel it amping up to the mid season finale.

Best easter egg of the night has to be the "victims" of Dr Wells accelerator experiment:

Ralph Dibny-Elongated Man
Al Rothstein-Atom Smasher
Grant Emerson- Damage
Will Everett- Amazing Man
Bea Dacosta- Fire
Ronnie Raymond- Firestorm

I was screaming so loudly after he said Ralph Dibny, I had to rewind to hear the rest of the names. Then I screamed again. I had to rewind like four times.

Yeah, I caught Dibny and Ronnie's names, but didn't catch and/or recognize the other names. I figured they were also lesser known heroes. I figured someone would tell what they were.

Good catch Murray.

At first I thought it would be cool to have Dibny make an appearance at some point on the show. But then I realized that I'd want an Identity Crisis story line, and there is no way they could pull that off adequately in the tv universe.

ETA: Speaking of Identity Crisis, I'd love to see Zantana on either Flash or Arrow. I figure she'll end up on Constantine, but I'd love to see her in the CW tv universe.

No Identity Crisis. Leave Sue alone.

I wish they'd never mentioned Dr. Light on Arrow now.

Could Wells be Brainiac? I'm extremely limited on comic book knowledge but what I remember from Smallville is that he can eventually travel through time and he seems like he would be capable of building a particle excellerator and have a cool siri from the future. Plus he's cold, calculated and detached similar to how Wells described himself tonight.

Just caught up with the last two episodes and man this is some great TV to watch and I am defintely not disappointed in this show at all.

I'm really enjoying the Wells character and I really can't wait to see what character he unravels into. Is he going to be a villain or is he going to be some twisted caretaker of the Flash who knows what an amazing hero he's going to be as we saw their morals and ideals clash tonight after tony died?

Any chance Eddie Thawne is going to be a reverse flash? It's one angle I can see breaking up that relationship with iris and hooking her and Barry up.

Tonight's episode was the best so far, it had great suspense, character and plot development, lots of foreshadowing, great special effects, and the Flash really developed more into what it means to be a hero.

I can't wait for next week. Should we do a special thread to merge the Arrow and Flash threads into one thread for the two night event or just stick to our respective threads?

They will be separate episodes for each show so no need in a new thread imo

I can't wait to see where they go with Wells' character also. They obviously want us to think he is one of the Reverse Flashes. But I still think it is a misdirection play on their part (even with the ending scene of Wells wanting to learn how to take Flash's powers). I still think he is Pariah, but I'm not sure why Pariah would want to know how to take away Flash's powers.

The fact that they decided to call his character Eddie Thawne definitely leads to it being a possibility. He's either Professor Zoom or an ancestor of Zoom.

great special effects

I've said it a number of times already, but I love what they've been able to do from a special effects standpoint with this show. I read an interview that one of the showrunners gave where he was talking about the possibility of having Grodd make an actual appearance as a villain. He said that they know they want to do it, and have laid the foreshadowing for it with the intent of doing it. But they are also waiting until the can come up with the right special effects so that it looks as realistic as possible. I can't wait to see Grodd once they get his special effects down.

I don't care either way. If we do create a separate thread for the crossovers, then we also will need to add any relevant occurrences to the main season threads. I know that there is supposed to be the big "reveal" for the Arrow show in the Flash episode. So that would probably need to also be copied over to the Arrow season thread. But I'm also ok with just using to regular Flash & Arrow season threads is everyone would rather do that.

Well, we know that Ronnie Raymond isn't dead.

You have Barry who was in a coma for 10 months and Ronnie who was disintegrated... both return to life.
