Recommendations on a filter bottle or straw

Lifestraw. I carry one with me in my hunting gear just in case. Sawyer also makes a whole bottle filter setup, where you just pour in the water and drink from the nozzle.

I still wouldn't trust the water there.

Drink the bottled water through that thing.

Any backpacking style filter bottle would probably do just fine. I dont know if there are any specific things to worry about in china water though.

Might look into a bottle of GSE as well. I'm about to add some to my kit.

I don't believe that those will remove viruses though. To be safe, I'd combine a backpacking style filter like a Sawyer Mini with a SteriPEN to have all of my bases covered.
