I just want to make one point about last night

Early 2nd quarter, Auburn has the ball at the LSU 9 facing 3rd and 8. Auburn huddles. Then, 3 receivers break from the huddle and sprint to the right, setting up a trips look. The rest of the huddle remains intact for a second. Then the rest of the huddle sprints to the line, with the TE lined up as the left tackle but as the end man on the line of scrimmage and therefore an eligible receiver. Marshall fakes a handoff, rolls right and hits the TE over the middle who is wide open because the LSU defenders didn't realize he was eligible. It was a thing of beauty.
When was the last time LSU showed a wrinkle like that? I'm not talking about a trick play or a gimmick. Just a wrinkle, a misdirection, a little something to deceive the defense. I remember we ran a TE tackle eligible play vs Ohio St in 2007. Don't think we've done it since.
Without a few wrinkles, your offense becomes so easy to defend. Look at how much pressure the Auburn scheme puts on people. I thought that one play really summed it up.

Les's wrinkle is lining Hilliard at the fullback and handing it to him...surprise suprise

It's not just the lack of a "few wrinkles".
Our offensive philosophy is blatantly outmoded. The design, implementation, and execution of our offense is fundamentally flawed. The author of this product is far too obstinate and incompetent to adapt and produce a diverse, creative offensive scheme.
It's not just about throwing in a wrinkle here or there. If you watch how we operate on offense, you'll realize just how insanely flawed this offensive scheme is on every single level.

A Les Miles misdirection play. The back is moving forward while the OL moves backward.

I have to admit I was shocked watching the OLine stand up and back up and not attack. Depressing.

Les says, "We don't need gimmicks. We're going to line up and our 10 guys are going to push your 11 guys off the ball, every play. If it doesn't work, we'll put our young QBs in a 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 12 and send one receiver out for a pass. It's got to work, we're LSU and I'm Les Miles".

My favorite play from the former "wizard". Mr Crowton. Generally speaking I wasn't a big fan of him, but I loved that play. It worked as easily against OSU as it did against LSU last night.

Wait...the toss dive isn't a wrinkle?
Clemson's DC summed it up perfectly after our loss to them in Atlanta two years ago...he said it wasn't difficult to scheme against an offense whose idea of a trick play is a play-action pass.
I was embarrassed to hear that because I knew it was true.
