I say 98 instead of 99 because by 99, fans had grown immune to the lashings and change was coming. Our current cycle is going to get worse before things get better.

UF has a great D and can run up the middle - so that isn't looking good for us. Kentucky is getting better and better and runs the QB up the gut - uh oh - that's another loss. Then you have Ole Miss, Bama, TAMU, ARK - Hmm...

4-8 with 0-8 in the SEC. First winless SEC season since 1983.

Not gonna lie Katy Tiger, I see it the same way right now. We might beat Kentucky. MIGHT. That's it. Everyone else is getting payback yhis year for prior years. QB position with young guys I understand, the lack of developing o line, linebackers, and d line, I don't.

The guys you meet on the way up are the same ones you meet on the way down.

Our country's bad cycle started in 2001

In 98 we could actually score a lot of points on offense. We just couldn't stop anyone thanks to Lou Tepper. We lost several games by one score that year.

That defense feels like the 85 bears compared to last night.

Yeah, this defense is worse than 2008, which I didn't think possible.

It's been a while since LSU was bad.

We need to write a "Shitty Season Survival Guide" for the younger set who have never experienced this.

You just shake your head, swallow your pride and try not to think about it too much. Old rnolan53 videos on YouTube will help.

Can't really compare it to 1998. That year was one close loss after the other. Its blowouts this year.

You're right. There actually is very little precedent for this level of mediocrity.

To be honest, I'm kind of excited about it. With this program now clearly in big trouble, the end of Miles is coming soon. We've needed change since 1-9-12.

LSU will be better under new leadership.

That will take 2 more seasons. Maybe 3.
