Moving some stuff in the yard and my back locked up….BIG TIME. It is not back spasms, but pain in my lower back (C7 area if I were to guess). I have iced the area….ingested 2 Alieve….soaked in hot shower….laid on floor on my back for 3 hours…it is worse.

Give me advice. :inbeforeIambeingapussy:

Try to move around and stretch. Don't lay down. That's the big mistake. I pull my back once a year and this was the fastest way to recover. Don't lay down.

C7 isn't in your lower back.

Please stop guessing. Your C7 is in your neck.

Go to one of the after hour clinics if you're in that much pain. They will give you pain meds or send you to the ER if its THAT bad.

I would think heat would be a much better solution than ice in this scenario. Good luck.

Yeah, saying C7 not smart….let's try L7.

Tried stretching and moving after ice. It is so bad, I have to have assistance to pull my self up straight.

There is no L7.

Go to the damn after hours clinic and stop trying to guess at anatomy.

This. Get some NSAIDs and muscle relaxers. Try not to do much the first couple of days, then move around a lot stretching and all that good stuff

I've had a ruptured disc between L4&5. Once the inflammation calms down some, you need to walk. Keep those muscles limber.

If I were you, I'd ask for a PT referral too. Quick google search - I'd go here
