Just got a Blue Heeler pup. What can I expect from them training wise? I know they're pretty smart but that can also mean stubborn/high maintenance or hyper.
Also, got any tips for teaching her to stay on command? For some reason I always had trouble with that.

A pinch collar helped me teach my heeler pup all the basics: sit, down, stay, and heel. Before I got the pinch collar, she would not walk on a leash at all. She picked up on all of them pretty fast.

A piece of cable cord or an old tv antenna will work. When it doesn't listen, pop it real good on the hind end.
Also clickers work really well when it does something good you click it and then flick its nose. The nose is super sensitive so they love this.
