Really haven't been watching much baseball the last month or so. How good are the Nats playing right now? Any chance they can make a run?

Nope. No chance at all that a team who won their division could win a series in the playoffs. Not at all.

They beat up on the NL East the last month. I still have a hard time believe they make the WS. Someone convince me otherwise? Who are the leaders on the team with playoff experience?

They have several guys with baseball experience. That may help some.

They'll go as far as their pitching staff carries them.

I'm predicting they make it to the NLCS.

Every single team still in has a realistic shot. Baseball playoffs are largely a crapshoot.

According to fangraphs WS odds, the Nats have the second highest chance at 18%.

Doug Fister, Jayson Werth, Denard Span, Adam LaRoche, and Asdrubal Cabrera all have post season experience with teams other than the Nats. Fister and Werth have World Series experience.

Most of the players were on the playoff team in 2012.

im so conflicted

Ive been a Braves fan my whole life

but I live and work in DC and it would be awesome to root for your city's team. Playoff baseball, packed bars, etc

I'm having a hard time

the national league is loaded.

IMO there are 3 teams better then the AL's best. Maybe 4.

This is true, but Washington was 45-31 (.592) vs the NLE this year and 51-35 (.593) vs everyone else this year. The weak division argument doesn't hold up in this case; Washigton has a realistic shot.

Playoff baseball at a packed bar is awesome, and this town is solidly behind the Nats right now.

Screw the Braves, root for the Nats and enjoy the ride.

Provided you listen to the above advice, what's your bar of choice? I strongly endorse watching Nats games at Stoney's (P St. NW b/w 14th and 15th, across from the Whole Foods). May make a few appearances there during the playoffs.

Of course we do.

Pitching staff has been ridiculous

Offense is doing more than enough lately. I was concerned earlier in the year but they've done very well in the second half.

I predict they lose to the Dodgers in the NLCS so if you consider that making a run then my answer is yes.
