You know newspapers are dying when they have to run deals on Groupon

This is for the Houston Chronicle

Choose Between Two Options:

$25 for a 26-week Wednesday and Sunday subscription, including digital subscription (up to a $78 value)
$49 for a 52-week Wednesday and Sunday subscription, including digital subscription (up to a $156 value)

considering a Sunday paper usually costs $1.50, and they throw in the digital subscription, it is not a bad offer

About to all be gone.

Sad though, I still enjoy actually holding the paper and reading it.

i get weekend delivery of the br advocate. i hardly ever read them but i can't pull the trigger on stopping it. i guess it's just the nostalgia of having a paper delivered to my driveway in the middle of the night. i wish kleinpeter still delivered milk in those glass bottles.
