Friend of mine who is a Miss St. homer made the following statements last night...now granted he is still feeling his oats because of the win 2 weeks ago.

He claims this game is definitely a watershed for moment for the team/Miles..WHY? His rationale:

1. If we WIN BIG...Miles/BH are seen as the conquering heroes....new identify on O for the rest of season....sets us up for a run at the NC......momentum out the arse...Negas still bitch about something (fans leaving early from JH)
2. Is we WIN CLOSE GAME....gutsy calls by Miles prevailed....BH the new undisputed QB moving forward....D finally steps up....sets us up for run at NC....Negas still bitch because we didn't blow them out.

3. We LOSE BIG....Miles blamed for making "the change"....BH's confidence takes a big hit...AJ starts again....D packs it in for the year...confidence eroded...we lose at least 2/3 more games this season....mid tier bowl....Negas go crazy and kill themselves!!!
4. We LOSE CLOSE GAME.....confidence still there....Miles credited with getting team to rise to challenge....NC very distant possibility if stars aligned....BH establishes himself as "the guy"...still hope for a top tier bowl...Negas still go crazy!!!

I think it was the tequila talking myself..

What says the Rant???

Smartazz and serious retorts both welcomed!!!

No matter the outcome I don't think anyone will blame Miles for starting Harris

I'm on record....I WILL NOT blame Miles for starting Harris even if we lose....he gives us the best chance to win. How can you blame a coach for doing this?

I completely agree. But I know the ridiculous and fickle nature of the people that post on this site.

You think too much and propose too many 'what ifs'. Just let it play out.

This team isn't winning a NC this year, you people need to get off that stupid shite, constantly saying every team, each year is going to win it all. Typical of 20 somethings, no self awareness and perspective.

Not only are the odds very unlikely, it sets you up for failure when we don't. We have a lot of new pieces, and while talented, we are not set up for a championship run this year.

I agree. And if anyone does- they should be made to watch the first quarter of the NMSU over and over again.

1.) Win or lose we aren't winning an NC this year or going on any type of title run. That should be obvious, but apparently it isn't to some.

2.) Win, lose, get blown, it's the right call. From this point on, it is all about 2015 and developing Harris, Dupree, Quinn, LF, Adams, Paris, and the rest of the Defense for a real title run in 15 and 16.

We're talking LSU fans here. If BH doesn't throw a 99 TD bomb to himslef on the first play from scrimmage, people will complain.

And if he does...people will complain anyway because he didn't check down to another oper WR.

One thing I've learned. Miles and the palyers just can't win.

Preach! Just take one game at a time and enjoy the season while it's here. 2015 & 2016 we should be kicking in the motherfrickin' door with steel-toed boots though.

I am wondering how a fan of a team winning 43% of its football games since 2000 would know a "watershed" game if he saw it.

Miles has had claims of "watershed" type stuff thrown at him since his 1st game at LSU. This is just another game for Miles. It would be nice to get win 100 at the home of the #5 ranked team, but other than that...just another game. For Harris, he will always remember his 1st start, but anyone making a big deal of a L by a true Fr. making his 1st start on the road at # 5 Aub. is college football mentally challenged.

Even if BH bombs ( which I seriously doubt ) he should start, based on past performance of both QBs.If anyone disagrees about LM starting BH then they should go on record now and list any reason LM should start AJ.If anyone does then I would suggest that they probably hit their head on the diving board or had some other accident involving a head injury.
