It's not the who, it's the how.

If they can do it, we can do it.

Mexico is proving it is possible to make sure that EVERY single person who show up to vote can, in fact, have an ID. It's not too hard, not too disenfranchising.

I dont understand how some people don't have at the very minimum a state ID card. Heck, they practically give them away.

LOL! And how reliable do you think Mexican ID's are? They sure as frick don't provide a barrier to voter fraud! If you want to establish a identity other than your own in Mexico, all you need is a few bucks - and maybe a couple of false witnesses from the town you falsely claim to be from.

No. The article in the OP is just about a new location to do what you could already do at the consulate in Chicago.

We have DMV's in every city in this country

No, it will not necessarily solve anything.

You see, even if you park a bus on the street or in the neighborhood, these people must still walk from their Lazy Boy to the mobile voter units.

For example, the State of Texas has deployed mobile election ID units all over the state, and has issued fewer than 300 election ID certificates (which are free).

There was recently a story about Prairie View A&M University (I think it was in the New York Times) about a student bitching that she was being disenfranchised, and sure enough, the mobile ID unit had recently been on the Prairie View campus.
