How does the rant feel about the "we want Harris" chants

A lot of talk has been made about the boos, but I haven't seen a lot of people mention the "we want Harris" chants. In your opinion are they equally as bad or okay because instead of negativity towards one player, you're displaying positivity towards another? Both probably have the same effect on Jennings' confidence, but is chanting what you want to see as bad as booing? I did neither for clarification, but people are going to voice their opinions when we're in a situation similar to Saturday. You can get mad and call them idiots, but they're going to do it in some fashion. Are there any better alternatives to booing and is "we want Harris" one of them?

I think this kind of thing works both ways. Kids who make a glamour show out of their recruitment and choose to play big time college football for programs with a track record for success and passion have to know this kind of thing can happen.
I don't condone it (booing) and don't know that AJ had a flashy recruitment, but these kids live life in a fishbowl. It can be great and it can also be tough.

The students are blamed for everything and truth told they are the fans that really matter. Lay off, they're the only ones that don't suck and make the game worth going to anymore. Bad behavior yes, but the constant throttling of students/frat activity at games is what is wrong with the game.

I'll take it over Loud STTDB chants... We do set the standard for new lows quite often... But I think that's because we've set the standard for highs so many times as well.

The student section started the booing and then the Harris chant. They also do the ow we ow, you suck, STTDB and a few more that I usually cant make out. They like stirring sh*t, so expect sh*t back.

I agree. Fans having been booing their teams since they have been playing the game. It's part of the territory. People whining about booing has become worse than the booing. Get over it.

It is the same as booing to me. The fans that do this are fricking idiots.
I would prefer to hear the unedited "Bitch I'm from Louisiana" blared throughout the stadium at each kickoff combined with endless STTDB chants to every single song the band plays than what went on last weekend.

I think booing the kid as he takes the field is pretty horrible. Then continue to boo and call for his replacement en route to what is surely his worst performance is just uncalled for.
Its not just about booing players on the field, Jennings was never given much of a chance by a good portion of our fans, and I think that is a poor mentality for for he fan base. I dont care what anyone says, there is a large group that wanted him to fail. We used to be an awesome fan base, and now we are just a whiny bunch.

We want Harris chant before the game even starts is rough. But after the 4th or 5th possession of Saturday night I don't know how you can blame them. It's clear Jennings doesn't have it and every possession he's in is just one more possession our future doesn't get reps. It sucks Jennings has to deal with but thems the breaks.

There is so much bullshite in this thread, I need hip waders.
I was in the student section. There was no chanting or booing until around the second or third series when it was obvious the offense was going nowhere fast with Jennings.
