I'm sure we'll get something really unique to replace it in Northgate, like another Frozen Yogurt store.

maybe if you hipster fricks actually spent some money there instead of getting a black coffee and mooching on the wifi for 5 hours, then they would still be able to keep the doors open.

What. The. frick.

Being able to study there got me through school, even the random homeless people helped put things in perspective. I wish LSU would buy the property & act as a landlord. No doubt the building owner is looking to cash out and redevelop the property into more bullshite.

They weren't allowed to renew their lease, it's not like they didn't pay their bills...

Read the article. The property owner refused to renew the lease.

Could this Monday get any worse??

One of my favorite relatively hidden gems from my undergrad years.

It didnt say he refused. It said...

quote:

Owner Clarke Cadzow said his business was unable to renew the lease originally set to end in November

And no it didnt say why. I have one guess though.

I genuinely believe that store/building should have historic/landmark zoning restrictions. You couldn't build a place with that much personality today. It's probably going to be a goddamn condo or boutique space.

The only way the owner could redeem this decision is by turning the existing building into a bar.
