because I have always preferred traditional QBs. Mainly because many "dual threat QBs" lack elite arm talent.

BUT I am a HUGE Brandon Harris fan. This kid possesses ELITE arm talent, he raises the level of play of the offense. What I love most about Harris is that is Arm is more dangerous than his Legs.

But when he does have to run....he is deadly. Also when he is forced to scramble....he keeps his eyes down field because he would rather get the ball to his receivers. (better chance of him staying healthy that way).

I believe that everyone can agree that Harris gives this team the best chance to win from here out.

I think, as LSU fans, we have reason to be very excited about the QB position over the next few years. He is a freshman and will make freshman mistakes, but I believe that the floor would be that he will be on the Obrien list in his final season at LSU, his ceiling......

Harris is only considered dual threat because he runs a 4.4. He'd much rather sling the ball.

Which is why I am a fan him being the starter. I am all for the starting QB running when HE HAS TO but, I would much rather them get the ball out of their hands.

I would rather the starter stay healthy as much as possible.

That, and he showed he can lower his shoulder and get in the end zone last night too.

He is a dual threat because he can do both, but damn he has an arm on him. Cannot wait to see what kind of arm strength he will have 2 years from now when moffit has gotten to work with him and he is no longer a twig

I was already a Harris fan.....just on his arm talent alone (I mean how can you not...the guy can throw it through a brick wall lol). BUT the TD pass to Dupre on the sideline....during a scramble while keeping his eyes down field....showed me everything I needed to see.

It was a near perfect pass while showcasing a pretty intense scramble.

I firmly believe that Harris has one of the(if not the most)talented arms in the nation. He will only improve.

Fans just need to understand that he will have some "lumps" just as Jennings has. But at this time Harris definitely gives this team the best chance.

A guy who can pass, but run if needed, is Miles's perfect QB...Youth must be the problem, but I saw him play, watched his interviews after the game, watched everyone pick up the intensity (crowd, players, Defense- minus MLB)....He's the guy.

Mauck stayed in the pocket more his senior year but he was certainly dual-threat.

This. Harris is a true dual threat. People get running QB and mobile QB confused with dual threat all the time.

running QB = Tommy Armstrong, Tyler Murphy, triple option QBs, etc

mobile QB = Kenny Hill, Jameis Winston, Bryce Petty, Jacoby Brissett, etc

dual threat = Brett Hundley, Dak Prescott, Marcus Mariota, Deshaun Watson, Brandon Harris, Anu Solomon, Taysom Hill, etc

As a senior in high school, Harris ran for over 1150 yards and 17 TDs on the ground alone to go with 3500 pass yards and 37 TDS through the air. He's going to go over the century mark at least once or twice this year.
