I'm not really an investment guru, so hopefully I can get some advice. I'm new to the investment scene (other than Roth IRA) so I don't really know the exact direction to go. I've been looking into mutual funds, but honestly I'm just looking for a short term investment with the best yield. I'm not really wanting to get into the stock market. I'm hoping to find something upwards to 10% with little risk. Any help would be appreciated.

Aren't we all.

I'd have to look; nothing really jumps out at the moment.

LOL Yeah, thats not asking much...

IMO, gonna be pretty damn tough, with how high the market currently is, to get that kind of short term growth, especially with little risk.

What would be a more realistic percentage in the market for short term?

Thanks Coach.

Im by far no "expert" but from what I know...a high risk investment with that time frame may yield you 4% (at best)

Someone please correct me if im wrong.

Im in no way an expert, but with how things are right now, I'd imagine a 3-5% over the next month would be really good.

Most on here posted they were 7-10% on the year as of the other day... That was with the run from low/mid 16000 up to 17200's. I don't think you're gonna see a run up to the mid 18000's by the end of this year.... Of course, that is just using the market as an indicator. Lots of other places you can earn. But you can see what I am getting at.

ETA... My bad, you said three quarters, not three months..... Still don't think you're gonna get that kind of run over the next 9 months.

Not really. Depending on one's definition of "high" risk that might be a reasonable *average* but the actual return or loss could be just about anything.
