Her and her family are friends of my family. They are from my wife's home town of Ottumwa Iowa.
She was Guned down wile she slept in her bed by her husband with a 12 Gauge shotgun. Was pregnant with his child and he wasn't happy I his marriage.Watching that episode brought back a lot of memories spent at fun functions with her and made me cry actually knowing how bad this dude fricked up her family of two sisters, a brother and her mom Tracy.

Just got done watching that, terrible story.
I had a suspicion he was the one since he wasnt interviewed at the beginning of the episode. When they played his first phone call to 911 I changed my mind, he sounded genuinely upset, although it might have been the shock of him actually committing the crime.
There were quite a few twists in there that I was not expecting.

I think he also indirectly killed the old guy that was a suspect in the case.

I wouldn't doubt it at all being he was Connected with law enforcement. Probably had a buddy of his do it.

I feel bad for the neighbor too. He really was getting his property vandalized by him and ended up dying from being overwhelmed.

Crazy it took three trials to convict him. Finding out there was no DNA, fingerprinting done in the investigation, I would have been hesitant to find him guilty.

I'm not convinced ole boy did it but one thing I have learned from watching these shows is to never talk to anybody without a lawyer
