basically if your not a tradional powerhouse from your state then youre disqualified
then it goes off how many prospects they can pimp from your school in their high school section and TV
for example: Team with a USC QB= top 10 lock

It's a ranking just like any other in CFB.

Based on history, pedigree, win streaks, results and 5* athletes.
The last of which isn't as important as you think...otherwise De La Salle wouldn't have been so loved the last 20 years...but they won, all the time.

Seriously though there is nothing wrong with it, betting on sports makes any game entertaining. I mean I have bet on the WNBA and enjoyed the games, if I hadn't bet I wouldn't have made it 2 minutes in!
