Are you able to text and navigate the phone with 1 hand?

Waiting til February to decide between the the 6 or 6+ and this is one potential issue I'm considering when thinking about a 6+.

There should be a one hand mode on the 6+.

I don't have an issue on my note 3. It does take getting used to.

Barely, go to a store and play with one. It's a big fricking phone. A case that gives you a good grip is better for this than the thin phone itself.

If you are worried about it, I would probably go 6 if I was you.

The 6+ is very large....

The 6+ is frickin huge.

The 6 is surprisingly bigger that the iPhone 5. I'm very happy with my 6.

I don't have huge hands. Normal sized hands I guess. My thumb can reach across the screen just fine though reaching a little takes getting used to. Your thumb can't reach the top but when you double tap (not double press) the home button, the top comes down to you and it's a pretty seamless process once you get used to it.

I hold my phone with my pinky cradling the bottom of the phone, too. If you don't do that, reaching the other side of the screen is even easier. That's my grip though, and I'm not changing it.

Typed this response one handed.

My family got together tonight and they are all mainly iPhone users. My 6+ is the first one anyone there had gotten to see. The reaction was pretty much the same across the board. Their first reaction was that it was too big and felt awkward in their hand. Then, after using it for a little bit and trying it out, it didn't take long for them to fall in love with the big, gorgeous screen. They changed their mind pretty quick and were fighting over who got to mess with it as the evening went on.

This is why I think a lot of people are making a mistake that are just handling a display model in the store for a minute or two and deciding it's not for them. It felt very foreign and awkward for a little bit out of the box but it doesn't take long to get used to. Once that happens, you'll never want to go back.

The only button on the 6+ that is a little awkward to reach is the ABC/123 button in the lower left corner on the stock keyboard. Other than that, it's gravy.

Testers were also largely impressed with Apple's one-handed "Reachability" mode, which shrinks anything on the phone's screen into thumb's reach with a double tap on the Touch ID home button. Gizmodo called Reachability a "smart solution."

Saw this on a site in a review. Showed a picture of it as well. Pretty much it shrank all of the icons down to about 3 rows so you can easily reach it all.

I have a different experience. I have the 6+ and also have access to the 6. More people prefer the 6 to the 6+ when they have access to both from my experience letting people play with both our phones. They like the pretty screen of the 6+ and the battery life, but the usability of the 6 is far superior to that of the 6+.

Depending on what they do next go around, I may switch back to the smaller size. I have had it since launch and it never really loses it's awkward size feeling, you just learn to handle it a little better from practice.

Doesn't really shrink, it moves the top of the screen to the middle and the middle to the bottom. Anything below the middle gets cut off and unseen until you raise the screen back up. Pretty much a screen shift down without shrinking anything.
