The NBA is weird with trades because often times trades have nothing to do with the players themselves.

Obviously I can't talk because Morey loves this stuff, but I hate it. Just seems stupid when teams give away stuff because they are trying to organize cap space.

All of the contracts are unguaranteed, so the Celtics will cut all of those players.
They are trying to dump salary.

Same reason why Morey traded for Terry and signed Papanikolaou for nearly 5 million per year. Salary fillers for trades.
