I never watched the regular series but thought I would give this one a try since it was set in NO and starred Scott Bacula. It was absolutely awful. Is the regular series just as bad?

The regular series used to be pretty decent. It dropped off some last season due to one of the main characters leaving. But the NCIS:NO is definitely pretty rough with the way they are forcefully trying to push the obviously fake accents and stereotypical cajun stuff down your throat.

I read an online interview with Lucas Black where he said that he couldn't master a cajun accent so they made his character from Alabama and asked him to do a "country" accent. Ugh!!

It could be a good show if they stopped trying to act stupid

What about a 2nd line or jazz funeral?
Anybody mention voodoo?
Anybody say "laissez les bon temps rouler"?

I have never watched CSI but I caught a few minutes of this one. Jesus, it was horrible. Every 5 seconds was a reminder that it was set in NOLA.

I can't wait for the episode when they chasing the bad guys in an air boat down Bourbon Street, eating beignets, and screaming laissez les bon temps rouler!

LOL...I wouldn't put it past the writers to do something like that. Let's see if they can cram every conceivable Louisiana sterotype into one show.

I remember in Deja Vu when they were in that chase scene on the interstate by the Dome, and then 5 seconds later they end up in Houma.
