How to quickly peel a whole head of garlic

I just tried this method out. Yes it's that easy. It will work equally well with a few pods. The only thing I did differently was to snip off the papery dried top of the head to get a bit flatter surface to press against.

I did two whole pods one at a time. Then I did three pods by them selves. Each time it worked perfectly. I did use about 2 quart metal bowls. May size and material bowls are made of matters.

From what I have found doing single pods doesn't do as well. Two or more pods are needed.

Agree. I think it's the friction between pods that does the work. Not between the pods and the container.
