I have Larry Donnell (NYG) as my backup and he's playing tonight. Do I start an unreliable TE tonight with a supposedly bad TE matchup against the Redskins, or do I risk it and wait till Sunday to see if Davis plays?

Well hurry up! Game time is less than 2 hours away.

Donnell has been everything but unreliable. The exact opposite actually.

Personally I always go with the safe bet as long as it's a decent replacement

I should've said unproven. I think it's plausible that he could just disappear into the night and nobody would notice.

Lol, unless you're buddies with Vernon Davis or Harbaugh... Your guess is as good as someone who knows nothing about football

TE's Matthew Berry likes

Tight ends I love in Week 4

Larry Donnell, New York Giants: A legit part of the passing game these days, I don't buy that Washington is good against tight ends. Middle of the field, red zone looks, there will be a lot to like about his game this week. Yes, Donnell's upside is limited, but so is his floor. Low-end top-10 play this week.

You can't risk Vernon if there is nothing in free agency and you have Donnell or Paul. Deploy them tonight and hope for the best.

I'm having to gamble on Davis for Sunday. Needed a QB for Sunday and dropped Donnell to get one. Only other option was to drop Davis to keep Donnell, which would be a mistake long term I think.

Seeing how the Giants are using him, I may put Davis up for trade bait.

3 out of his 4 games he's scored more than 15.
