Les Miles and Paul Mainieri are strikingly similar

Both are respected names
Both won a national championship in their 3rd season.
Both have the greatest single season in school history. (2011 football, 2013 baseball). However both seasons resulted in no championship.
Both had a lull and then a resurgence. Football from 2008-2011. Baseball from 2010-2013.
Both are now falling back to the pack and are looking at a perpetual state of mediocrity. (LSU football falling back in the West. LSU baseball losing in home regionals)

Didn't we hear the same thing about both before the resurgence you mentioned one line above this? They are just as likely to lull as they are to surge back in a year. I'm not saying I'm happy with the state of either program at this exact moment, but chicken littles need to chill the frick out with the sky is falling shite.
